When you're up north on the Gunflint Trail, you're bound to have an appetite for adventure, activity -- and food.  Our new cedar log lodge was designed with that in mind. We offer much more than just great food and drink - we serve up a totally unique great woods dining experience. Gale hand-milled and hand-peeled the cedar logs for the naturally rustic tabletops. You are surrounded by white cedar logs, and sit beside a massive native boulder fireplace that reaches 27 feet to the ridge beam. Gaze out a full wall of windows overlooking Poplar Lake and see some of the most gorgeous sunsets you'll ever see. We have seating for just about 50 people.

We serve full breakfasts (inlcuding wild rice pancakes, and award-winning local maple syrup), pizzas, sandwiches, and fine dining with an outstanding selection of wines and other beverages. Specialties of the house include Angus beef tenderloin and Kansas City ribeye, pan-fried walleye, Russian cuisine, and guest appearances by Chef Ron Berg.
